Dein Kokon
Four times three or rather two times six? In the Kokon, either two to three guests can relax in each of four small vacation apartments or two larger families with six people each can feel at home. On each of the two floors of the two-story vacation home, a connecting door can be opened to the apartment next door to make room for family or friends if necessary. The name says it all, this is a retreat and recreation place of refined simplicity that invites you to gather strength and relax. Sustainable, light Swiss stone pine and concrete combine in an exciting way, carefully selected details ensure a wow factor. The guest house is enveloped by a cloak of dark wood, whose fretwork patterns cast dancing shadows on the interior floors. The panoramic windows of the four apartments look out over the unique backdrop of the Leutasch plateau in Tyrol. The large terraces with colorful, contemporary patio furniture are a great place to settle into the day. Inside, the poured concrete floors form a harmonious unit with the wooden fixtures, black elements, stylishly chosen fittings and lights. Snow-white kitchens blend perfectly into the apartments as a visual center point. Priska and Martin List have created a place that is both grounding and stimulating—in no time at all, guests are so replenished by their cocoon that they float out light and buoyant like butterflies to discover the surrounding nature.
WHAT WE LIKE MOST:
- The concrete construction and the extraordinary facade made of dark Swiss stone pine wood
- The long and narrow floor plans actually make you feel a bit like you’re in a cocoon—protected and safe!
- Clever built in nooks offering space to retreat despite limited space.
- Unusual patterns in the facade that cast fascinating shadows on the floors of the apartments.
- The consistent use of black accessories
- The bright, contemporary colors used for the upholstered seating and chill-out areas—very refreshing.
- The farm cabinets in the apartments are hand-painted with rustic motifs—an interesting change of style!
- The all-wood bedrooms, the double beds built into alcoves—very cozy (and cocooning)
- The great bathrooms with beautifully patterned tiles
- die kleine hauseigene Sauna. Über eine Magnettafel an der Saunatür kann die Zeit ganz einfach stundenweise reserviert werden. Fühlt sich dadurch wie ein kleiner Privat Spa Bereich an!
- The emphasis on sustainable and ecological building methods
- The location in the most beautiful corner of Tyrol, on the 16-kilometer-long Leutasch plateau!
