Anyone traveling to Upper Lusatia will find it hard to resist the charm of the old half-timbered houses. Ulrike and Ulrich Neumann fell in love with one of these houses, which had been empty for several years. Instead of letting it fall into disrepair, they had it lovingly renovated, sparing no effort in the process. It took two and a half years to restore the building to its former glory. Today, travelers benefit from their perseverance. Behind the historic facade, Marktquartier 5, located directly in the town center, offers room for three spacious, luxurious vacation apartments, some even with private saunas and fireplaces. Despite their contemporary style, they are by no means sterile. Visible wooden beams and floral patterns on cushions and wallpaper contrast with the modern, well-equipped kitchen. They found out that it had been owned for a long time by the Hünlich family, a respected dynasty of factory owners. The names of the vacation apartments commemorate their long-time residents.
