Moselhaus by Clüsserath-Wittmann
Vines as far as the eye can see, picturesque winegrowing villages, friendly people and the spectacular river landscape of the Moselle. The Moselle wine culture country is pretty, scenic and varied—there’s good reason for it being one of the most popular vacation regions in Germany. This is where the beautiful Moselhaus by Clüsserath-Wittmann is located, right in the center of Trittenheim—and how could it be otherwise than situated close to a winery, namely, the family-owned Ansgar Clüsserath. It’s only a short walk from here to the Moselle. The guesthouse, which was only built in 2023, has a modern design and, with its simple slate base, fits perfectly into the Moselle region, which owes its excellent wine to the mild climate and million-year-old slate rock soils. Hosts Eva Clüsserath-Wittmann and Philipp Wittmann have set up the family-run Moselhaus with great attention to detail—and of course provide a small wine selection, too! It’s designed to be a temporary home with bright and spacious rooms, providing a breath of fresh air and great high-quality furnishings and fittings. The three modern apartments are called ‘Steinreich’, ‘Apotheke’ and ‘Lageblick’ and all offer a magnificent view of the steep vineyards of the ‘Trittenheimer Apotheke’. Living and sleeping areas are laid out with solid oak parquet flooring, otherwise the furnishings are kept beautifully simple with subtle colors and a few pieces of high-quality designer furniture. By the way, the wine region can be wonderfully explored from Trittenheim. Culinary delights are also on offer: In addition to a variety of 3-star restaurants, there are many cozy wine taverns, which are open seasonally and offer self-produced wine. Well then, cheers to that!
