Clear lines, modern design and the alpine scenery always firmly in view: At DAHOAM on the edge of Schenna in South Tyrol, you really do feel at home very quickly. The nature residence manages to bring closeness to nature, style and comfort under one (green) roof - and additionally attaches great importance to sustainable architecture, construction and lifestyle. This gives a maximum good feeling of happiness! The DAHOAM consists of two houses, which are oriented to the typical local barn form with gable roof, threshing floor and wooden facade - and yet has nothing at all to do with a conventional farmhouse. The five suites and two chalets of the DAHOAM are exclusive hideaways with appealing architecture, characterized by untreated larch wood, built in climate-friendly passive construction. On cold evenings, crackling fires in the wood-burning stove provide cozy hours. The furnishings are minimalist and of high quality. Much of the furniture was designed by the lady of the house herself. From time to time, a design classic such as an Eames chair is added. Privacy is a top priority here; private gardens and saunas in the chalets ensure pure relaxation, while at the same time floor-to-ceiling, south-facing panoramic windows provide a fantastic view of the magnificent Alpine panorama. The only thing you share with other guests is the specially created natural pool. When it's warm enough, countless water lilies bloom in the pond above - great! In the surrounding area, beautiful mountains rise into the sky, to which various hiking trails lead. And for those who do crave company from time to time, there are plenty of well-stocked, cheerful restaurants in the center of Schenna or a quick drive to charming Merano with its Belle Epoch flair.

WHAT WE LIKE MOST:

• the cubic architectural style of the wooden houses and the untreated larch wood, which thus acquires a great gray hue; the clear architecture blends seamlessly into the natural backdrop
• self-designed furniture, mixed with a few design classics, result in a beautiful coexistence and fit to the clear and reduced interior concept
• Location, location, location: the unbelievably great view that the houses on the hillside offer of the Alpine scenery
• an almost 2,000 square meter garden surrounds the house, on the colorful meadows bees also feel very comfortable 
• the natural pool, right next to the lily pond. Sooo romantic!
• the sliding larch sunshade elements are a great design element for shading
• in winter is heated with low-energy underfloor heating, in summer is cooled with it
• the possibility of having fresh croissants and rolls delivered to your doorstep
• on the outdoor training platform you can get help from trained functional fitness trainers on request
• great wine region for wine lovers

GOOD TO KNOW:

• Peace, quiet and relaxation are the focus: the DAHOAM is for adults and older children from 14 years.
• the two houses are located about 800 meters from each other and are at an altitude of 800 meters
• all apartments have a terrace with direct access to the garden
• the two houses are not only based on high aesthetic standards, they were also built in a very environmentally conscious way: First-class thermal insulation, triple glazing, use of rainwater and solar energy, air-source heat pump, and even controlled ventilation with CO₂-sensor or heat recovery
• Relaxsuite, Gardensuite L, Gardensuite R and Vistasuite are for two persons each, the Panoramansuite has a second bedroom, which can accommodate two additional guests.
• Guests of the chalet can borrow e-bikes free of charge; for own bikes there is a lockable bike depot
• plenty of beautiful mountains for extended hikes in the immediate vicinity, including many catered huts for every taste
