Anton Nature Hideaway
With a view like this, you don’t really need any wall decorations! The large panoramic windows frame the Isarco Valley landscape, easily competing with many a classic painting. The architecture of the luxury apartment building sets the scene for nature. Guests can enjoy the view of orchards, forests and vineyards from any number of perspectives: Waking up in the bedroom, relaxing on the private loggias and terraces that are part of the accommodation or while dining together in the open-plan living rooms. The Nature Hideaway in the village of Natz, situated on a sunny high plateau, was designed in the style of a traditional South Tyrolean farmstead and consists of two units. Local materials such as stone and wood combined with lime-plastered brickwork give the five apartments a traditional and cozy look, complemented by a lively color concept with contemporary design elements in petrol, rust red, emerald green or mustard yellow. The two hosts, brothers Otmar and Thomas Michaeler, grew up in the nearby Hotel Ploseblick. So they’re accustomed to welcoming guests from all over the world, while being deeply rooted in the region. In mild temperatures, you can go on leisurely hikes through the apple orchards, ride a mountain bike up to the alpine pasture or cycle along the valley. In the winter, you can whizz down the slopes of the nearby ski resorts. And Brixen with its arcades, alleyways, museums, cafés and good restaurants is worth a visit all year round. Feeling pleasantly tired from all the excursions, let yourself really unwind in the hotel’s spa. Did we mention the fantastic view? Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window, the view from the relaxation room is sensational, leaving you looking forward to spending the next day of your vacation in this fantastic setting.
WHAT WE LIKE MOST:
- The open floor plans of the apartments make everything feel nice and airy. All the living areas are south-facing, allowing plenty of daylight through the large windows.
- Designer wallpaper and colorful wood paneling create exciting accents.
- Each apartment has a private outdoor area, either a loggia with mountain and valley views, a sheltered terrace or a private garden.
- As a “Nature” ClimateHouse (energy efficiency certification from the South Tyrol Energy Agency), Anton 2023 was built with the surrounding landscape on the outskirts of the village of Natz in mind. Its traditional, yet modern, design blends into the landscape, which is reminiscent of a large garden with its apple orchards and vineyards.
- Fancy a little refreshment in the meantime? The honesty bar offers South Tyrolean specialties, slow food and refreshing drinks.
- How nice is it to swim a few lengths in this setting? The outdoor pool is covered, heated and open from April to October.
- You can vacation here all year round. Depending on the temperature and your mood, you can head into the mountains to one of the rustic Alpine pastures to enjoy spinach dumplings and apple strudel or feast your way through the region’s restaurant landscape—from Michelin-starred cuisine to traditional wine taverns.
- Take a deep breath, please! The 80-square-meter spa with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, and relaxation and fresh air area is a wonderful place to unwind.
