ARX Boutique Hotel

Der Name ist Programm: „Arx“ bedeutet Berggipfel – und das beschreibt die perfekte Lage des kleinen familiengeführten Boutique-Hotels auch am besten. Ringsherum Bergpanorama, wohin man blickt. Im Winter geht’s von hier aus direkt auf die Piste, im Sommer zum Wandern in die Berge: rauschende Wasserfälle bestaunen, in klaren Bergseen baden, über grüne Hochtäler laufen. Hoch sind auch die Ansprüche der Gastgeber – alles, was Familie Veith anfasst, macht sie mit Leidenschaft. Sie sind tolle Gastgeber, lieben gutes Essen und gute Weine, die kleinen Annehmlichkeiten, mit denen sie Gästen eine Freude machen können. Sie probieren gern Neues aus, schauen auf die Details und bleiben dabei immer entspannt. Familie Veith hat die kleine Pension mit Pizzeria im steirischen Schladming seit den 90er Jahren stetig weiterentwickelt. Mama Helga übernahm das Haus 1988 zusammen mit ihrem Mann Wolfgang, mittlerweile sind auch ihr Sohn Manuel, ehemaliger Profi-Snowboarder, und seine Frau Anna, Ski-Olympiasiegerin und Weltmeisterin, mit an Bord. Zusammen haben sie das kleine und feine Boutique-Hotel ARX inmitten der faszinierenden Bergwelt zu einem absoluten Wohlfühlort gemacht. Moderne und schlichte Ausstattung, klare Linienführung, gedeckte Farben, hübsche Illustrationen in den Zimmern und an den Wänden des Restaurants verleihen dem Haus Persönlichkeit und Wärme. Hierher kehrt man gern zurück, wenn man genug Bergluft geschnuppert hat.

• The location: the outdoor experience is more than literal – it starts as soon as you step out of the door, both in summer or in winter.
• Good food is very important to the hosts: the cuisine is traditional, seasonal, and experimental –only high-quality and regional, mostly organic, products are used; the varied surprise menu in the evening is always a treat.
• The large breakfast selection will cheer up even the worst morning grouch.
• The wine bistro offers well-selected natural wines and small slow-food snacks, accompanied by cozy music – at the bar you’ll find fine brandies from local producers, as well as a fine craft beer and gin selection.
• The year-round outdoor pool in the garden, complete with a sunbathing area and a gazebo for drinks and snacks (starting in summer 2026)

GOOD TO KNOW:

• The house has 18 rooms in four categories; there's also a family suite with 4 beds and a penthouse suite with its own sauna and dreamy views.
• If anyone can give good insider tips, it's the Veith family: Manuel was a professional snowboarder, his wife Anna is a ski racer (more precisely: Super-G Olympic champion and three-time world champion), Helga knows every hiking trail in the area, and Wolfgang is a golf expert.

• In the summer months the Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard is available for free.
• There is a sports shop and ski rental right in the hotel; guests naturally receive a discount on rentals and can arrive without bringing their own ski gear; those who bring their own skis can store them in the hotel’s ski room

• For winter sports enthusiasts: Schladming-Rohrmoos offers a wide range of lifts and a full 760 kilometers of slopes; ski lift access is just a stone's throw away.
• For summer visitors: biking and hiking tours start right outside the door; you can explore forests, meadows, mountain lakes and waterfalls (Schladming-Dachstein is also called the Valley of a Thousand Springs and has 300 mountain lakes, 1,000 springs and 100 waterfalls!).
